What to do in Los Angeles?
This week, we’re going to show you all what you can do in the big city, Los Angeles. Of course, this list is normally infinitely long and that’s why we made a selection with our favorites from our trip through this city.
We have to be honest with you, that Los Angeles wasn’t our favorite destination right away. But still there were a few nice things to do that surprised us pleasantly. These things are best done with a GO pass Los Angeles, the cheapest way to visit all these things. What to do in Los Angeles? You can read it here.
What to do in Los Angeles
1 Universal Studios
One of the things you must have done in L.A. is visit Universal Studios.
An experience you won’t forget with lots of fun attractions but also with countless shows that definitely leave an impression. With the height point of the train that runs through the real Universal Studios. Very unique and fun. However, the price tag is a disadvantage with its 110 euros per man. Although this is not so bad with the
GO-pass Los Angeles
because you can then link several trips to each other. A GO pass is almost as expensive as an entry ticket.
2 Hollywood Boulevard
Whoever comes to Los Angeles must have been on Hollywood Boulevard. So this one is automatically in this list. But don’t expect too much of it. Although this boulevard looks beautiful and large in pictures, it is actually not that big and above all quite dirty and crowded. Get off the boulevard and Admiring Hollywood Walk of Fame is fun. You can also visit various museums such as the Hollywood Museum, Dolby Theatre, Madame Tussauds and many others. Most of these are also in the GO pass.
3 Celebrity homes tour
The celebrity homes tour is definitely a must. You will not only drive past the beautiful villas of Justin Timberlake and Micheal Jackson, but you will also get to know the beautiful area of Beverly Hills. And that’s definitely worth it! You can also rent a car and explore yourself, but the information you get in such a guided tour is not going to be found anywhere else. It’s an experience in itself. This activity is also in the GO-pass.
4 Santa Monica Beach
You either have it for Santa Monica Beach and Venice Beachor you don’t have it. And although the beaches are very large and you can also find very quiet spots, this was not our favorite place. But it’s one of those places you must have seen. And especially then the pier with the amusement park
is world famous and especially because of the pictures of it. Again we were not a fan of this, but that is rather personal because we do not like this crowds. We fall again in repetition but access to the amusement park on this embankment also falls in the GO pass of Los Angeles. What to do in Los Angeles? Buy a GO pass and you’ll come a long way!
5 Basket and Baseball
When you think of America, you automatically think of sports and with two NBA clubs (LA Lakers and Clippers) and a baseball team (Dodgers) you have plenty of choice in this city. Unfortunately, we came just out of the basketball season so we couldn’t pick up an NBA game. We haven’t seen baseball here either, but we’ve seen it in San Diego. But we think this should be highly recommended!
6 Venice Beach neighborhood
Although we are not a real fan of Venice Beach, as mentioned above, we are from the cozy neighborhood with bridges just behind the long promenade along the beach. Here you can unwind and take some nice pictures. Keep in mind that it is not huge and you are not sweet with it for hours. One advantage is that this activity is completely free.
7 Grammy museum
If you’re a music lover, you should just go to the Grammy Museum.
Not only will you be introduced to the past of the Grammy Awards, but you will also be taken into account by the history of music. With fun things to do here and there. For example, you can listen to different types of music in an endless music database. But you can also play instruments yourself. And you don’t bother others because they always work here with headphones, so only you can hear your (false) sounds. This activity is also in the GO pass of Los Angeles.
8 Windowshopping Rodeo Drive
In Beverly Hills, of course, you have the famous rodeo drive shopping region. A place where all the expensive designers gather. And where you can sometimes spot famous stars because they come here to shop. This is very hard to do
thinking. For the ‘ordinary’ public this region is a bit expensive to buy something and even to enter the shops. Each store is equipped with security which also increases the distance to enter the store. What you can do is windowshopping and that’s definitely fun enough to do in this neighborhood. Even if it doesn’t have to stay with windowshopping… because in the side streets of Rodeo Drive there are plenty of shops that are affordable.
9 Downtown Los Angeles
Downtown Los Angeles may not be our favorite place in Los Angeles, but if you want to see the real Los Angeles, downtown LA is a must. We see downtown LA mainly as a dirty place with lots of bums but you also have nicer parts like El Pueblo Los Angele’swhich is the old town but also China Town and Little Tokyo. There is even a very small Mexican neighborhood against the Greyhound station. So Downtown LA is definitely something you can do, but if you’re only in LA for a few days, we don’t recommend spending your time here.
Outside the Hollywood zone, Los Angeles obviously has a lot of other beautiful museums that are definitely worth visiting. Here’s how to get the
Natural History Museum
of Los Angeles where you can even find skeletons dinosaurs can see. Or the Bergamot station which is the largest and best art department store in the region. And so there are still countless museums that are worth visiting in LA.
